Frequently Asked Questions

Is getting a traditional cosmetic denture worth it?

Traditional dentures can be out of date, just like anything else you wear. Because dentures wear and stain at a significantly faster rate than teeth do, if you have used the same dentures for over 8 years, chances are you're ready for an updated look. Over time, dentures also become loose. If you need adhesives to hold your denture in place, it's likely they fit poorly enough to cause damage to your jawbone over time.

Do I really need dentures?

In many circumstances, specialty dentures aren't necessary. When you visit us for your complimentary consultation, we will provide you with an accurate, honest diagnosis. If you don't actually need custom cosmetic dentures, we won't try to push you into getting them.

How long does a denture last?

Nothing lasts forever. The tissue and underlying bone in the mouth are continually changing. Over time, your dentures will need to be adjusted, relined, or replaced to maintain a good fit. The average life of a set of dentures is about five to eight years.

How long does the process take?

The average dentures patient can expect to visit our office three to six times during the denture design and fitting process. The entire process takes just two to three weeks and can be completed more quickly if required.

Will I lose anything by coming in for the free consultation?

Of course not. The consultation is completely free of charge. We are limited in how many consultations we can schedule during any given period, so make sure to schedule yours as soon as possible. You’ve got nothing to lose.

Will my insurance cover it?

Our talented team will work with you to see if your insurance company will cover your cosmetic dentures. If for any reason they are not covered, we will let you know and will work with you to develop a financial plan if needed. Our patients often tell us that it's worth the investment to purchase quality cosmetic dentures.

What payment options are available?

Yes, ask our office about financing options or payment plans. CareCredit® offers reasonable interest rates for patients who need to finance their dental care.
